This Land, Air and Water sorting activity supports language development and problem solving skills, as well as helping your child grow their understanding of the world.

How to use

Begin by presenting your child with just a few cards from each category so they are not overwhelmed, and then slowly add more to keep the activity challenging and engaging.

You can begin by using the Three-period Lesson approach for introducing new vocabulary to your child.

Once your child is familiar with the names of the vehicles/animals, you can explain whether they belong on the water, land or in the air.

You can then demonstrate to your child how to sort the items onto the felt sheets (Hobbycraft).
