Hello!
I’m Dawn, creator of Grow + Play and mum of two boys. I’m also a qualified primary school teacher, currently studying Integrating Montessori Practice.
When I had the idea for Grow + Play, I wanted to create a parent and child groups with a purpose, one with a calm environment, where children could play and explore in a setting that was carefully prepared just for them.
I also wanted to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where parents could enjoy observing and playing with their children, and where they would always feel welcome.

Grow + Play baby and toddler groups are designed for the child. The activities are carefully planned to support children’s development in all areas, and to create the right conditions for them to learn and grow, and most importantly, to enjoy themselves.
All of the toys and activities at Grow + Play are designed to foster concentration and support development. Children are given the freedom to decide which activities they want to try, and the adults take the role of observer and supporter.
We have a gentle structure in place which helps the children transition through each session. You can read more about the structure of the sessions.
