Construction paper water painting

Mess free painting activity to support fine motor skills, pre-writing skills and understanding of cause and effect.

Construction paper water painting

This is a lovely activity to encourage fine and gross motor movement.

As the water is brushed onto the paper, it changes to a darker shade, as if being painted.

The construction paper is very thick so it won’t tear easily when wet.

I used Frog tape to keep the paper in place so it won’t slide around or crumple.

Supports:

Fine motor skills

Gross motor movement

Pre-writing skills

Understanding of cause and effect
