Does it roll?
Quick and easy activity to explore shapes and the concept of rolling.

This activity is so simple but so much fun!
You'll need:
A selection of blocks (some with a curved edge and some without).
How to play:
Take a cylinder or sphere and roll it between both of your hands while saying "roll" repeatedly.
Next take a cube and attempt to roll it, show your child that it cannot roll.
Repeat these two steps to show the difference between shapes which can roll and shapes which cannot.
Invite your child to choose a shape and ask "does it roll?"
